RAF Llanbedr is a former Royal Air Force station located in the village of Llanbedr, Gwynedd, Wales. Established in 1941 during World War II, the airfield served as a training base for RAF pilots and later as a target facility for aerial and ground gunnery practice. After the war, it became a civilian airport and was used for testing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The site has a rich history of reported paranormal activity. One of the most frequently encountered spirits is that of a World War II pilot seen wandering the runways at night, often described as wearing a 1940s-style flight suit. Witnesses have reported hearing phantom engine noises and seeing ghostly aircraft lights when no planes were present.

In the control tower, staff members have reported unexplained footsteps, doors opening and closing on their own, and the sensation of being watched when alone in the building. Some have claimed to see the apparition of a man in RAF uniform standing at the windows, gazing out at the airfield.

The hangars are another hotspot for supernatural occurrences. Maintenance workers have reported tools moving on their own and the sound of someone tinkering with aircraft when the hangars were empty. Cold spots and sudden temperature drops have been experienced in various locations around the base.

One particularly chilling account involves the ghost of a young woman seen near the perimeter fence. According to local legend, she was the girlfriend of a pilot who never returned from a mission. Witnesses describe her as appearing distraught and searching for something or someone.
