Croxteth Hall, located in Liverpool, England, is a country estate dating back to 1575. Originally built for the Molyneux family, who became the Earls of Sefton, the hall served as their residence for over 400 years until 1972. The current structure, a Grade II listed building, was largely constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Throughout its history, Croxteth Hall has been the site of numerous reported paranormal occurrences. One of the most well-known ghostly figures is that of the 7th Earl of Sefton, Hugh William Osbert Molyneux, who died in 1972. Staff and visitors have reported seeing his apparition in the dining room and library, often accompanied by the smell of tobacco smoke.

Another frequently reported spirit is that of a young servant boy who allegedly died after falling from a horse. Witnesses have described seeing his ghostly figure in the stable area and hearing the sound of horses’ hooves when no animals are present.

The Grey Lady, believed to be a former housekeeper, has been seen gliding through the halls and staircases. Some accounts describe her as wearing Victorian-era clothing and carrying a bunch of keys.

In the servants’ quarters, people have reported hearing disembodied footsteps, whispers, and the rustling of clothing. The kitchen area has been a hotspot for unexplained cold spots and the sensation of being watched.

The grounds of Croxteth Hall have also been the subject of paranormal activity, with reports of shadowy figures moving among the trees and the sound of distant voices when no one else is present.
