Brock Mill Laboratory
Brock Mill Laboratory, located in Warwickshire, England, was established in the early 1900s as a secret research facility for the British military. The lab conducted experiments on chemical weapons and other classified projects during World War I and II. In the 1950s, it was repurposed for civilian scientific research before being abandoned in the 1980s.
The facility’s dark history has given rise to numerous ghost stories and reported paranormal encounters. Staff and visitors have reported hearing disembodied screams and cries echoing through the abandoned corridors, believed to be the spirits of test subjects who suffered during experiments. Security guards patrolling the premises have witnessed shadowy figures darting between rooms and disappearing through walls.
One of the most frequently reported apparitions is that of a man in a white lab coat, often seen in the main laboratory area. Witnesses describe him as appearing focused on invisible equipment before vanishing into thin air. Some speculate this could be the ghost of Dr. Harold Brock, the facility’s founder, who died under mysterious circumstances in 1943.
Another common occurrence is the smell of chemicals and smoke in areas where no experiments have taken place for decades. Visitors have also reported feeling sudden drops in temperature and experiencing unexplained equipment malfunctions, particularly in the basement levels where the most secretive experiments were conducted.
In the 1990s, a team of paranormal investigators recorded EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) throughout the building, capturing what sounded like pleas for help and discussions about ongoing experiments, despite the facility being long abandoned.
