Beacon Radio Studios

Beacon Radio Studios in Wolverhampton, established in 1976, has a history intertwined with paranormal activity. The building, originally constructed in the early 20th century, served various purposes before becoming a radio station. Staff and visitors have reported unexplained phenomena throughout the years, particularly in the older sections of the structure.

One of the most frequently recounted ghost stories involves a shadowy figure seen in the main corridor leading to the broadcast studios. Employees have described sensing an unseen presence watching them, accompanied by sudden cold spots and an oppressive atmosphere. Some have reported hearing disembodied footsteps echoing through empty hallways late at night.

In the production studio, sound engineers have experienced equipment malfunctions and mysterious audio interference. On multiple occasions, recordings have captured inexplicable voices and whispers that were not present during the original broadcast. These anomalies often occur during the early morning hours when the station is nearly deserted.

The building’s basement, which houses old broadcasting equipment and archives, is said to be a hotspot for paranormal activity. Staff members have reported feeling watched and experiencing an overwhelming sense of unease in this area. Some have claimed to see fleeting apparitions and hear muffled conversations when no one else is present.

During a live broadcast in the 1980s, a DJ reported seeing a translucent figure pass through the studio wall. This incident was corroborated by a guest in the studio at the time. The apparition was described as wearing outdated clothing, possibly from the early 1900s.
